Jammy Biscuits (Valentines Special)

These adorable heart shaped Jam biscuits are PERFECT for valentines day! I also made them fresh on a date night a few weeks ago, as we rarely get dessert when we eat out, so these were super cute to come home to!

The buttery biscuit is so soft and almost melts in your mouth! Then the sweet jam layer comes together to make the most amazing, yet so simple flavor for these cute treats.

All in all, the whole process took me 40-60 minutes! I love them! They served very well when I hosted a little dinner and drinks party! You can make them in any shape or size you like, so they are great for all occasions. I even sprinkled some powdered/icing sugar on some of them for some extra pizzazz.

An all round quick, easy and extremely yummy recipe for those with a sweet tooth, that also looks adorable when serving to your loved ones or special guests.

Ingredients:

-2 sticks butter (Softened)

-½ Teaspoon Vanilla extract

-½ Cup Granulated Sugar

-Pinch of salt (if using unsalted butter)

*water, if the dough is dry.

-Jam of your choice.

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F or 180C.

  2. Soften (not melt) butter in Microwave for around 15/20 seconds.

  3. Beat together the butter, sugar and vanilla extract.

  4. Add in the flour (and salt if needed). Mix until combined.

  5. Pop in the fridge to chill for 10-30 minutes.

  6. Roll out the dough and cut into circles, and make a heart cut out on every other one so they pair up.

  7. Bake on parchment paper, for 7-9 minutes.

  8. Once cooled off, spread the Jam on the bottom biscuit and gently place the top layer over the jam.
